The Visitor
Short film starring Michael as 'Barry' a man whose wasted life is consumed by resentment and living in the past, until one day he is visited by his auntie Moira, a relative he has never even heard of. The film also stars the great Eithne Brown, (Emmerdale/Brookside), as Auntie Moira, and is directed by Paul Carmichael, (former writer on Canary Wharf, L!VE TV, 1999).
Saluting Magpies
Michael is currently working on a new musical project with Andy Frizell (Kevin Ayers, Mick Head Band) with the aim of creating the kind of classic pop music that both admire. The first single 'Hello' is due to be released in 2025 with the album to follow.
Thoughtophagy
Another area which interests Michael is the 'hauntology' genre of music. With this in mind, he is plundering his own 35 year archive of audio and video for clips and snippets to sublimate into electronic music. The objective is to gain an understanding of the past in order to make sense of the present, or not. As the case may be.
