Thoughtophagy began with a box of old notes and tapes - some dating from when I was still in school - and a question: what happens if you feed the things you once made back into the person you've become? Taking its name from the biological process of autophagy, Thoughtophagy is an act of creative self-consumption - decades of recordings, fragments and abandoned ideas digested and disgorged as new music. Less an exercise in nostalgia than continuity, it explores what survives in the things we create, what changes with time, and the strange possibility that we can spend decades unknowingly building the foundations of a future work.
