STAGE PERFORMANCES

Selected theatre work spanning touring productions, major collaborations and original performance. Recent credits include independent chart-topping Vivian Stanshall albums and producing/directing the Bonzos film Unboxing Day, premiered at the BFI.

Michael toured his acclaimed solo stage production of Vivian Stanshall’s Sir Henry at Rawlinson End nationally from 2009 to 2018. The production was revived for a special performance at Union Chapel, London in 2023, marking what would have been Stanshall’s 80th birthday.

The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band

Following the London premiere of Sir Henry at Rawlinson End in 2011, Neil Innes - attending alongside Adrian Edmondson - invited Michael to collaborate. This ultimately led to Neil asking him to sing with the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band on their final tour (2015–16).

Half the Man

In 2019 Michael premiered Half the Man at the Edinburgh Fringe - a one-man show about fear and fry-ups. The show received national media coverage for its humour, honesty and emotional impact, with a national tour planned before the Covid pandemic halted live performance.
